Pointless

Psalm 127:1 Unless it is the Lord who builds the house, the builders’ work is pointless. Unless it is the Lord who protects the city, the guard on duty is pointless Every family wanted their children to become successful in life. Parents sacrifice their resources, time, and energy to achieve that goal. Some parents lost their lives for the sake of their children. According to the ASPE survey on Research on Successful families, the characteristics of strong, healthy families are communication, encouragement of individuals, expressing appreciation, commitment to family, religious/spiritual orientation, social connectedness, the ability to adapt, clear roles and time together. As Christian parents, we need to be sound in teaching the word of God with our children. The Psalmist reminded us that God is the right builder and defender of our household and nation. He used the specific metaphor in his poetry about building a house. The word “building” in Hebrew is “banah” meaning to build – begin to builder, obtain children, make, repair, setup, or surely. For example, When you start to build a house, you need to look at the right builder. Why? Because we need to ensure the safety of the structure. Meaning, the truth behind this representation that a family and nation to flourish and enduring has built on God’s foundation and direction (1 Samuel 2:35; 1 Kings 11:38; Amos 9:11; Proverbs 14:1). Thus, we need to be careful! There are many faith builders out there, but a wolf in nature. As Matthew said, beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves (Matthew 7:15). These faith builders are not real, but cunning and deceptive. The only true Master builder, keeper, defender, and restorer is God the Father.
